Michelle was our server, and she was great. Very friendly and personable. The food was good too. I only wish I had gotten what I ordered. I went with a larger group and discovered a little later in the meal that my order was given to another in our party. I didn't bother Michelle about it because she had been great and she been working for some time already. The seating area was very clean, well decorated and inviting. In the end, I would go there again hoping Michelle was my server.
Black Bear Diner is the definition of comfort food done right! I came in hungry and left happy (and very full). The Cinnamon Roll French Toast is absolutely incredible—sweet, rich, and perfectly grilled. It tastes just like a fresh cinnamon roll but with that extra diner-style magic. A must-try! I also had the Chicken Fried Steak, and wow—it was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and covered in delicious country gravy. Exactly what you want when you're craving something hearty and satisfying. The portions are huge, the service is warm and welcoming, and the whole place has that cozy, nostalgic diner feel. Highly recommend stopping in if you're nearby—you won’t be disappointed!
We had a group of 8 friends for our lady’s luncheon. Fabulous experience! Of course the food was delicious, but the standout was our great waitress, Michelle. She was so personable, funny, efficient and very accommodating. Someone in our party suffers from many food allergies and Michelle was excellent in making sure she got something that she wanted with changes that aligned with what she could eat. Outstanding service and outstanding employee. Hang on to Michelle!
This is the place! Budget/wallet friendly menu. Working in the food industry for 10 years myself - I was incredibly surprised/happy/pleased at how CLEAN(!!!!) every part of the restaurant is! From the bathrooms, counter, tables, floor, kitchen, etc. The attention to detail clearly stands out. This experience was made full by our incredible server - Michelle! She was warm, friendly, engaging, knowledgeable and AGAIN - ENGAGING! We will definitely be back! Thank you, Michelle!!
We met our children and grandchildren at the Diner this morning for breakfast. I ordered a Joe’s Hobo omelette, which had sausage, ham, bacon, and spinach. One side was country potatoes and one side was slice of French toast. The potatoes were excellent and the syrup for the French toast was very good. I can’t say the omelette was the best I’ve ever had but it was very good. My wife had avocado toast and she said it was very good. I had a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice, which was very good, but it was over-priced and I would not have ordered it had I known how much it cost. The portions for every dish were quite generous. I would definitely recommend it to others and would go there again ourselves.
I don't know about any other Black Bear Diners outside of the one in Riverton, Utah, but the one in Riverton is superb! The many options and food are terrific! The portions are VERY generous! You'd be hard-pressed to be able to finish all that is presented on the plate. At least that's my experience. The staff are friendly and accommodating with a "beary" nice atmosphere as their restaurant name implies. If you haven't tried them or if it's been a minute since having been there, get in there and give them a try!
We went here for a breakfast themed meal and it was great. We love the sweet pancakes and thick bacon. Not that think crap at other breakfast places. My girls had a large selection of kids' choice menu items. They have so many deals that it makes it a great place to go to. Michelle, our server was really nice and came several times to make sure we had all that we needed, including several water, butter, syrup, and take-home box trips.. ask for Michelle to serve you, and you'll get the mvp experience.
A wonderful experience for anyone wanting a daily morning wake up call and happy morning against the turmoil and chaos of the day. The food was great (I had the turkey avocado club) and our server Michell against all odds of being slammed by a crowd of people all at once still had a smile brighter than the sun as she tried her best to fulfill everyone’s order with quick succession. Overall the experience was superb and like always we will return again at black bear diner in Riverton
